We have prepared an impressive list of artists conducting portfolio reviews that can help out with valuable insights about how to best present yourself when applying for a job. Bring along a portfolio or use the the time to pick the brains of the professionals, pitch a project or explore possible recruitment opportunities!
At this edition of The Art Department we are also debuting a new format: Face 2 Face – giving visitors a chance to connect with other visitors and make use of resources from within our community. Who knows which encounter might spring new ideas or simply provide a buddy to enjoy the festival with?

How does it work?
- You sign up on-site, at the festival venue for one of the portfolio reviews session happening on that specific day;
- Each review slot has 15 minutes;
- It’s a first come, first serve system. Get your running shoes on;
- If you want to show your portfolio digitally, you’ll need to bring your own device.
FACE 2 FACE
Quickly get introduced to other fellow attendees from our community. Who knows who you might meet? Maybe your next concept artist for a project you have in the works. Or an illustrator for your book idea you had somewhere in a drawer waiting for its right time. But also, a fellow fan of a project dear to your heart, you can hang around and continue visiting the festival with!
Program:
Saturday 24 May: 17.00 – 17.30 & 17.45 – 18.15
Sunday 25 May: 16.00 – 16.30 & 16.45 – 17.15
How does it work?
- You sign up on-site, at the festival venue for a Face 2 Face session.
- It’s a first come, first serve system. Full is full.
- You come at the appointed time and you will meet a maximum of 5 other members from our community.
- You get 5 minutes to talk with each of them. Afraid you will be too shy or won’t have anything to talk about? We’ve go you covered with some fun ice-breaking games.
- Bring an open mind and use wisely your time. Just embrace the process and see that you’ll surprise yourself!
