Pedro Conti is a CG director and art director specialising in character development, lighting and rendering. Born and raised in São Paulo, where he now runs the production company Flooul Animation while also working as a freelance Visual Development Artist. His thirteen-year career in the animation industry has seen him collaborate with Netflix, Dreamworks, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Marvel, Guerrilla Games, Epic Games, Universal as well as with artists such as Katy Perry or Gorillaz, to name a few.
As a director, Pedro looks to tell stories with a lot of heart. The narratives he explores touch upon topics we can all relate to in one way or another, often focusing on the struggles of daily life. His first time at Playgrounds, Pedro will share his directorial and visual development work with audiences.
He’ll give insights into his process starting from development and pre-production pulling from his work for feature films as well as independent short films.
