The panel also discusses how insufficient funding often gets compensated by very creative ideas and how there is currently a balance between Eastern possibilities and Western influences. The guests however also highlight that the Eastern traditional art education is currently very outdated in terms of game designs and concept art course, prompting young talents to search inspiration and information in the Western parts. “Individuals are way ahead of the institutions” they say, and this ultimately leads to talents’ gravitating towards places where the education is happening.
