As many other artists Cécile Carre started drawing at a very early age. She was always very interested in comic books, but never thought she could make a career out of it. This interview gives an insight into her journey of becoming an illustrator, animator and storyteller. One of the things she focuses on is the importance of making your own visual library. What is also interesting is her thoughts on the differences between animation and illustration. And next to that, she shares her work process, building up a movie scene.
Cécile currently works as a storyboard artist at SPA Studios in Spain. She has worked on productions such as Klaus and Despicable Me 3.
